Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman from the United States. She is the President and owner-controller of the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. The California native, Buss grew up in an upper class family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was a real estate tycoon before becoming the owner of Lakers and other enterprises. Her parents parted ways in 1972, which caused her to feel like she was abandoned. In the year 19 she became the General Manager for the Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis team. In the following years, she created the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She served as the president of the Great Western Forum, before being elected Vice President of the Lakers. Buss and her five sisters were heirs to the Lakers control following the death of Busshis father in the year 2013. Each sister had equal rights. She was named president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss co-owns Women of Wrestling an pro-wrestling promotion company that is based in Los Angeles.
